Owner/ Level 3 Personal Trainer/ express cardio/ morning fitness/ cross training

Owner Jen Gabrysch has always been passionate about fitness and being healthy and believes the two go hand in hand. She's been a qualified personal trainer since 2006 and has over 10 years experience helping people improve their fitness, recover from illness, prepare for specific events, rehabilitate following surgery and identifying and achieving goals. Married to Stef with 5 children, she knows the struggles of juggling leisure time and business hence why she has created a unique gym which incorporates top class trainers, a individual environment and friendly group of clients. 

Laura Perry


Laura found yoga, and herself, through the internet! She was self-taught for her first few years, before she decided to push her physical and spiritual journey by attending a class. Yoga has since become the main focus and love of her life, and she completed her 200hr YTTC in Ashtanga Vinyasa in India. Laura is interested in a wide range of styles of yoga, with a focus on Vinyasa Flow, and believes that yoga is right for everybody, no matter what their ability or experience.

She is inspired by freedom of movement and exploring and pushing the limitations of mind and body.

Dave Swift

Level 3 Personal Trainer

Dave has been using gyms for building strength and fitness all his life.  He is a qualified teacher, swimming teacher and qualified as a level 3 Personal Trainer back in 2017, and has been working at JG Fitness in between all his other work commitments ever since!  Dave's regular Class that he takes weekly is the Monday 6-7pm Cross training class - so if you fancy something abit different come and find out!

Sarah Brabins

Level 3 Personal Trainer/ Cross Training/ Morning Fitness

Sarah is a qualified level 3 personal trainer and has lived in the Garstang area all of her adult life. She qualified 3 years ago after her own weight loss journey which ignited her passion and interest in helping others tackle their issues surrounding weight management and in addition has just recently completed a course in nutrition. Sarah is committed to her own and others fitness and will be taking the weekly Monday 6pm class, and the Thursday and Friday classes at 9.30am which will cover weights core and cardio. 

Stefan Gabrysch

Meditation Class

Stefan began studying zen meditation with teachers in the White Plum Soto-Zen lineage. He started in 1990 with Genpo Merzel Roshi and later with Genshin Roshi. He now studies with Tenkei Roshi and is closely associated with Zen River Temple in the Netherlands. The art of meditation has been practiced since ancient times and has been well-proven to relieve stress and anxiety, and promote a sense of health and well-being. Through first hand experience, Stef knows that cultivating a healthy mind helps cultivate a healthy body and a good attitude towards life. Stef is enthusiastic to share his experience by showing the basics of how to meditate, and the benefits that regular meditation sessions can bring into ones daily routine and activities.
